POKOTABI / Montana
神楽坂家系ラーメン モンタナ
At Montana in Kagurazaka, diners can enjoy fully loaded Monta-men, classic Iekei ramen, and rice bowls customized with fried takana and seasoned garlic.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
Offering the hearty richness of tonkotsu shoyu that finishes cleanly to the last drop, Montana serves reassuring Iekei ramen in Kagurazaka 5-chome. With generous portions and an approachable flavor profile, it provides a dependable bowl for daily dining.
The signature Monta-men comes fully loaded with 2 slices of chashu, 6 sheets of nori, 1 seasoned soft-boiled egg, extra spinach, and scallions. It gives you the full pleasure of slurping chewy noodles alongside broth-soaked seaweed, fresh spinach, and tender pork. Standard ramen and meat-centric chashu-men come in regular, medium, and large sizes, while a mini bowl accommodates lighter appetites.
The counter is stocked with garlic, ginger, red pepper, vinegar, and kaeshi sauce, along with stir-fried takana mustard greens—an unusual perk for an Iekei shop. Mixing takana into the soup or scooping it over plain rice to wrap in broth-dipped nori is a reliable way to whet the appetite. Side options include plain rice, chashu rice, and scallion rice, which can be finished with a drizzle of kaeshi sauce to tailor the seasoning to your liking.
With its quiet interior centered on counter seating, the shop welcomes solo visitors easily. It serves equally well for a filling lunch or an evening bowl paired with beer or a highball.
